When I started out, I listened to some bad advice. One piece of bad advice was: you can make money with EVERYTHING on the internet! Just pick something that you love doing.

And I wound up creating a product from scratch (the dumb way, that takes lots of work and time), getting salesletter, autoresponder, etc. set up.

And afterwards… I didn’t make a sale. So I tweaked the salesletter. Split tested the headline. Tried different traffic sources. Spend too much money on AdWords (down the drain). It was frustrating (and expensive).

What I didn’t know back then was that not only should you test salescopy and headlines… you should test your market first!
