Blogging For People Who Don’t Have Time

I have to admit – I’m right now working on a big project, and in the recent days I haven’t been able to really pay proper attention to this blog. This is likely to continue for a certain amount of time.

But that doesn’t mean that I’ll let my blog sit idle.

It doesn’t mean that I forget about my readers.

It doesn’t mean that readers won’t find great value here. Quite the contrary. It just means that stuff will be more to the point.

For example, this blog post shows you how to blog when you don’t have enough time to blog.

Let’s see what expert Jerry Hart as to say on the subject:

Most often heard phrase when I’m on the phone with clients. I have NO TIME!

“I’m freaked out about having to write content for my blog!”

First and foremost, blogging is about engaging.

Think of your blog as your booth at a convention. If you are a lawyer and you go to a legal marketing convention, you will find what? Legal marketers and lawyers. They are all saying pretty much the same things. They all want pretty much the same thing. Their interests are aligned or similar, and yet many of the people at the convention are competitors.

When you blog, you may be tempted to try to isolate yourself from your competitors and peers. Your fear may be that if you draw attention to somebody else, then attention, which is a finite resource in the world, will be drawn away from you. This thinking is natural, and it is wrong.

Ever heard the expression “the more you give, the more you get?”

If you are a blogger, that should be your mantra.

The more you give credit to others, the more positive attention it draws back to yourself.

If you don’t have time to blog, just quote other people’s great content, comment on it, and link back to them. This way, you provide great value to your reader and you engage with the community.

PS: If you want to make money blogging, you really can’t afford to “skip blogging” for a couple of days. Consistency is a must for successful blogs.
